Slovenia, member of the European Union since 2004, is also a member of the Schengen Area and the Eurozone. This situation makes Slovenia an ideal destination for international students who would like to attain a higher education degree while discovering the rest of Europe. In addition, students are exempted from paying tuition fees at full-time study programs at public institutions, and enjoy affordable tuition fees at part-time studies and at private institutions.
Tuition fees vary from one higher education institution to another and per year typically range between:
2.000 EUR to 11.000 EUR for Bachelor’s study (depending on the programme)
2.000 EUR to 15.000 EUR for Master’s study (varies between the study programmes)
2.000 EUR to 6.000 EUR for Doctoral study (depending on the programme)
